Why Climate Club ?
"Green India and Clean India" is the dream for every Indian citizen and school children can make this happen. This is the first step to make a clean and a green Globe. We know the reasons for the environment degradation and change in the climate namely industrial pollution, vehicular pollution, waste disposal etc. Our mission should be to fight against pollution and degradation and save our endangered mother planet. So let’s start something and the best place to start is our country, and even better our school.

How to form a Climate Club ?
The climate club can be constituted in each school/ college with one teacher in-charge and a group of student members, who can form the core group. Other interested students can become members. The core group can meet once a week.

What are the activities of a Climate club ?
The following activities can be carried out by the Climate club :
tree plantation activities
visitors’ car pollution checks
recycling campaign
field trips to create awareness on clean and green environment
attend environment / climate change related events /conferences interview the experts and publish their views
cleaning school grounds
monthly assembly programme on environmental issues
competitions, documentary shows, exhibitions and other similar activities
Drawings, write-ups, poems, relevant newspaper/magazine clips, and photographs on the notice / bulletin boards in all participating schools and colleges.
Prepare annual summary report for circulation to other schools
